Transport Research Arena (TRA) Conference: SHOW programme

April 15 - April 18

TRA, the Transport Research Arena, is the foremost European transport event that covers all transport modes and all aspects of mobility. It is the largest European research and technology conference on transport and mobility.

TRA offers a great venue for researchers, policymakers and industry representatives to get together and contribute to the discussion on how research and innovation can reshape the transport and mobility system. The conference provides a unique opportunity to hear about mobility trends in different parts of Europe, learn from achievements in the industry as well as share best practices of policies and deployments.

Meet SHOW partners at the exhibition

Throughout the conference, SHOW will be presented at the booths of project partners UITP (Hall 1 – Stand 23) and Swarco. In addition, a SHOW simulation suite e-poster will be dislayed at ECTRI Research Village Associations Stand.

Monday, 15 April

  • 2:00 PM – 3:15 PM: Poster session 1.2: Automated shuttles as a mobility solution – a user-oriented evaluation of a living-lab in Linköping-Sweden. Hall 8C – Poster Area (Simmonscourt) – Stage 2. More info here.
  • 5:15 PM – 6:30 PM: Technical Session 1.1.3 Road Safety of Commercial Vehicles: Safety evaluation of conflict timing for automated shuttle bus services operation. Hall 3B (Serpentine Hall). More info here.

Wednesday, 17 April

Between 12.00 and 13.00, SHOW will join forces with the ULTIMO project for the session ‘Automated Vehicles in the Public Transport Mix’, held at the UITP stand. In this session, project coordinators and technical leaders discuss the state of the art of AVs in public transport, what are the possibilities for operators and authorities, and where the future lies.

Thursday, 18 April 

9:45 AM – 11:00 AM, Special Session 6.3: Success Factors and Added Value of International Cooperation in the Context of Inclusive CCAM Services – Learnings from Large-scale Demonstration Projects in the EU & Japan. This session explores the nuanced realm of automated paratransit services in the context of Connected and Cooperative Automated Mobility (CCAM). It will gather experts from the European Union, Japan and the US, fostering an in-depth comparison of success factors worldwide. Hall 8A-3 (Simmonscourt). More info here.
