STIB is the local public transport operator in Brussels, entrusted by the Brussels-Capital Region with the operation of public transport on its territory.  As a public transport operator, STIB contributes to improving the environment and quality of life in Brussels through sustainable and safe mobility.

The STIB network includes 4 metro lines, 17 tramway lines and 55 bus lines. More than 1,300 vehicles (tram, bus and metro) operate these lines and routes, 20/24h, 7 days a week.

As a public transport company, STIB is actively involved in the city’s sustainable development. By proposing mobility solutions that are accessible to all at an affordable price, STIB provides the city and its inhabitants with a better standard of living by enabling them to go to school, meet people, access leisure facilities, etc. A wide range of needs that are facilitated and undertaken in a safe environment.
