SHOW Hackathon: the challenges

Supported by Y4PT, the SHOW Hackathon is open to any bright minds who could help advance automated mobility services, benefitting all citizens. Spread over three days, the Hackathon is welcomes multinational & multidisciplinary teams of developers, technology providers, etc. to brainstorm and develop innovative solutions to increase user acceptance and user benefit of automated mobility, focusing on three challenges:

  • Human assistance stand-by in case of problems (emergencies, security)
  • Adapting/optimising capacity to handle demand in a flexible way
  • Accessibility and assistance for persons with reduced mobility

Who can apply?

  • Any youth and young professionals from Europe and all over the world; travel and accommodation expenses ARE NOT covered
  • Also, anyone working within any of the 70 SHOW partner companies can apply

Participants can be individuals of any age, groups or teams of people, youth of any age, young professionals, robotics experts, etc., who will demonstrate their commitment, creativity, or enthusiasm for sustainability in their application. Are you one of those innovative and creative individuals or teams with a great ability to get the most out of limited resources? Then the Call is for you!

Submissions will be reviewed by SHOW partners and the Y4PT Team and assessed relative to creativity, value and potential for immediate or fast sustainability and replication.

Prizes

  • One selected person from the winning team will participate in the Y4PT Global Hack – Barcelona 2023 during the UITP Global Summit.
  • Student participants will have the possibility of winning registration passes for the 2023 ITS European Congress.
  • The winners will be interviewed and featured prominently on the SHOW website. The winning entries will also be publicised via the extensive networks of the SHOW consortium, including ERTICO’s bi-weekly newsletter, which reaches thousands of people.
  • All participants will receive a participation certificate signed by the project coordinator

Deadline & timeline

  • Registrations are open until the 18th of March . Subscriptions are reviewed on a first-come basis.
  • Winners will be announced during the Hackathon Final, on the 23rd of March 2022.
