SHOW is about enhancing urban mobility, understanding people’s needs and providing novel solutions based on transport automation to move people smartly, efficiently and inclusively.
Finland is one of the selected countries to showcase a new era of automated vehicles and their integration within the public transport system. The city of Lahti has recently started to test the performance of SHOW’s robotic buses deployed by the Tampere pilot site.
These driverless vehicles have a special focus on the elderly, providing more efficient solutions to move around the city by enabling, for instance, direct communication between the city centre and the hospital.
The tests’ results and the users’ feedback will provide an insightful overview of the vehicle’s efficiency and costs and enable SHOW to bring the best services to the city.
