From 20 to 21 November, the SHOW project had the honour to co-organise the hybrid International Workshop on ‘Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM): The European and Chinese experience. This event is the result of the strong collaboration between the European project and the Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU). Physically hosted at the BJTU premises, the workshop featured distinguished international keynote speakers, who shared their insights on the future of CCAM.

The workshop showcased a diverse range of case studies, offering a comprehensive exploration of AV technologies, global business and deployment practices, user acceptance, societal impacts, regulatory frameworks, and standardization.

Over the course of two days, SHOW and BJTU showcased impressive examples of their deployments. The hybrid format aimed at captivating a global audience, with 48 physical participants and 16 remote attendees.

The event concluded with a thought-provoking strategic panel discussion to delve into the commonalities and differences in Europe and China across all the workshop’s focal topics, paving the way for a more extensive recap in the near future.

The collaboration between SHOW and BJTU facilitates an enriching exchange of ideas and sets the stage for continued exploration and cooperation in the dynamic realm of CCAM.
