The 3rd Annual Conference on Autonomous Vehicles and Public Transport in Europe took place on 17-18 November 2021 in Amsterdam, bringing together experts from government agencies, Public transport authorities, technology suppliers, R&D and academia and private companies to address issues in policy, planning, funding, technology, market development, testing, and the deployment of AVs.
Within the framework of the Conference, the Director of the Hellenic Institute of Transport, Dr. Evangelos Bekiaris, presented “AV Use Cases evolution and priorities” during the “Update on EC Policies and Projects” session.
In his presentation Dr. Bekiaris presented the implementation of Automated Vehicles Use Cases across 15 cities and with over 70 AVs Europe-wide within the European project SHOW, emphasising on relevant lessons learnt from SHOW pre-pilots, as well as on future pilot plans and the transferability of results by the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH).
